Laura Miller never considered becoming an insurance agent until a series of employee benefit-related issues frustrated her as Office/Human Resource Manager for a rapidly growing local packaging company. She rethought her professional role and decided to forge a new path using her firsthand experience and savvy to specialize in employee benefits for small to mid-size businesses. Laura joined the Innovative Benefit Services team in February 2007. Laura enhances our organization by bringing over 13 years of employee benefit and Human Resources experience. She reinforces the company mission by achieving remarkable levels of client loyalty and satisfaction. She, along with the support of the “Innovative Team,” is devoted to setting new standards of service in the industry. Laura believes our job is to understand our clients’ strategic objectives as they relate to employee benefits, so we can help meet those objectives within a given budget. Acting as an extension of the Human Resources department, we manage the benefit packages to enable our clients to focus on their core business objectives. Her comprehensive knowledge of the industry is rare to find. Laura graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration specializing in Human Resource Management. She also holds an insurance license in life/accident and health. Laura is committed to continuing education and maintains her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation, which requires 60 continuing education credits every three years.
